CFI conducts tobacco control seminar with West Bengal Legislative Assembly.
Tobacco control is a critical issue in India, where one in four adults uses tobacco. The Central for Health and Family Welfare (CFI) recently conducted a seminar on tobacco control with the Standing Committee of Health and Welfare, West Bengal Legislative Assembly, for the members of the Legislative Assembly. The seminar focused on the importance of tobacco control legislation and the role of parliamentarians in promoting tobacco control policies. A Parliamentarian tool kit for tobacco control was released in Bangla at the event. The tool kit is a valuable resource for parliamentarians who want to learn more about tobacco control and how to advocate for effective tobacco control policies.
